Q. Why is the Vemar carbon helmet so expensive?
A. Vemar’s VSRC helmet is manufactured using a precise military grade Autoclave instead of the standard air bag molding system of its competitors. The Autoclave heats the carbon to the proper temperature which creates a chemical chain reaction that brings the carbon fiber up to military grade for shock absorption, without manufacturing using an Autoclave a carbon helmet will be light but will not reach its ultimate design potential for strength. Thus the Vemar VSRC carbon helmet is manufactured to the highest possible standards. This low quantity (only two helmets a day can be built with an Autoclave) production method ensures the most consistent finish, thickness and density is achieved with the 100% carbon fiber shell material.
